How Does IPL Work on Your Hair?

• The energy of short intense pulse light is absorbed preferentially by the melanin in root hair follicle, after continuous treatments, hair is prevented from growing back. The darker the hair the better results.
• Hair grows in cycles of various phases: anagen is the growth phase; catagen is the involuting or regressing phase; and telogen, the resting or quiescent phase. 

IPL only works on the hairs in growing phase, since the melanin concentrated in the hair follicle during anagen phase. Hairs are not all in the same phase, that’s why we suggest keep on using the device for 8-12 treatments.

When Can I See The Result?

This is not an instant hair remover like razor or epilator and it takes times and requires patience! You will see hair is coming back slower and thinner after 3-4 treatments (1 treatment per week). Please repeat shooting 1-5 times for each treatment, but don’t flash the same spot continuously, treat it again after you finish all area to allow your skin to calm down. We suggest to use it at least 10-12 treatments and to maintain results, touch-up every four to six weeks. Results could vary on different skin tone and style.

• Use alcohol cotton pad or swab to clean and disinfect the lighting window and glass;

• Shave hair in advance before the treatment! If there is skin irritation after shaving, please wait until the recovery. Do not use wax, or pluck hair, we need to keep the root hair shaft to absorb the light energy.

• It takes about 2.5-3 seconds to re-storage energy, please move it down one inch at a time until you cover everything in case any hairs are missed. Besides, it will not trigger unless it is properly against the skin. It will flash after you put the device vertically on your skin and click the button correctly after all indicators turn green.

AFTER USE: Your skin may be slight red or prickle, tingle or feel warm. This reaction is absolutely harmless and will disappear soon.Or you can apply lotions, creams moisturizer freely to the treated areas. It is not a must and could be based on your skin condition.

Indicator 

• The lifespan is showed by the way of blinking once you plug in the device and start it on. There are 5 green lights blinking 3 times together which means full lifespan, each light represents 20% lifespan of the lamp. After that you will see a red and a green light left there which means it is ready for treatment.
• When the lamp ends up, the 5 lights keep on after you start it, and the device cannot emit light after touching skin properly. In this case you can replace the lamp and have a try.
